Short Break and Stuffs that I Accomplished

the short break i intended to have turned out to be loong. played eudemons online the whole day on saturday. then sunday, monday and tuesday i spent reading books. weehee! got the feeling which i had long not felt while reading books. it was a nice change than reading notes. lols..

read Discworld 3: The Science of Discworld, Darwin's Watch by Terry Pratchett.

Whoo, he rocks man. I was shocked at first when i realised the book is composed of 80% Science theories. The physics of blackholes and the associated time travel, parallel universes topics were discussed with quite great detail. There was also mathematics, the different types of infinities, apgp, etc etc. omg, the maths part was the most horrible of all. at least i can somewhat digest what the physics were talking about. but maths..i shut off. the pges were tuning by itslef. i even dozed off many times while trying to read and understand at the same time.
Then there was the evolution issue, which was the main topic of the book and the story line. The contents were somewhat similar to what we learnt! so darn funny i thought i was reading school notes for a moment.
In Discworld which is the 'real' world, Roundworld(Earth) was acidentally created by a clumsy wizard, and the wizards of the Unseen University thus had to ensure the saftey of Roundworld and its inhabitants, which was just the size of a soccer ball, surrounded by protective spells. Then, Darwin accidentally wrote the wrong book; ie instead of writing The Origin of Species, he wrote The Theology of Species, which will lead to the destruction of the human race via an impending Ice Age. Lol lol lol. In between the science chapters (which can get pretty dull coz its science theories), the misadventures of the wizards were hilarious.
I recommend this book (in gact, all Terry's books) to all my friend who takes pleasure some in satirical humor in their lives.
after a lvls of coz, of coz.
Then i read CS Lewis Narnia books 2 and 3. Prince Caspian, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The latter is the title of the next Narnia movie. Whooo i can't wait!! But since the movie for Prince Caspian already had great many changes to the original storyline in the book, i do not doubt that the next movie will have deviations too.
And the last book i read was non other than our dear friend Frankenstein by Mary Shelly. Chilling.
Nuff said.
